How do you update aadhaar for demat account online? Is there a central database for insurance companies ? CAMS provides it for MF online. I would like to avoid giving physical copies and visiting every institution individually.

I-T searches premises of top NSE officials in co-location case; ex MDs Narain, Ramkrishna on the list The Income Tax Department is conducting raids at officials of the National Stock Exchange in relation to the algo trading case. Tarun Sharma@talktotarun The Income Tax Department is conducting search operations at the premises of National Stock Exchange officials and brokers whose names figure in the co-location server controversy, sources told Moneycontrol. These officials and brokers included former MDs Ravi Narain and Chitra Ramkrishna, Suphrabhat Lala, and promoter of OPG Securities, Sanjay Gupta. OPG Securities is at the centre of the co-location controversy on the NSE, in which some brokers who had availed of the server co-location facility, got preferential access to the exchanges trading system. These brokers had somehow managed to connect to the exchanges back-up server, and hence could access the price feed faster, giving them an advantage over other brokers. It is alleged that the breach happened with the connivance of some NSE officials, though it has not been proved yet. The National Stock Exchange on Wednesday submitted a forensic audit report on the cash market, currency derivatives, and interest rate futures markets relating to the ongoing co-location case. This forensic report has been prepared by E&Y and the Indian School of Business. Now, SEBI will prepare a future course of action based on the findings of the forensic report. A few trading members on the NSE are alleged to have made a killing by unfairly gaining faster access to the price feeds, and it is suspected that some employees may have helped them. The case is being investigated by SEBI. Countries with rogue governments.
IMHO one should keep a few % of their net worth in bitcoin. It is still very resilient to the forks that have have happened. My current holding is approx 7.5% of my net worth on bitcoin. I bought some more at the recent fall as part of my monthly allocation . PS: I did ask my friend about his price forecasts (I think he is extremely optimistic as he is all in) and as per him $10000 per bitcoin is just around the corner possibly even in a few weeks.

I am efiling since about 10 years now - never received a refund by check. Usually refund comes in 6 weeks - this year it was delayed and came in 12 weeks time(about 45k). Are you sure that you are filing properly with all mandatory information?
One criteria I know about is - The MICR Code of the Bank Branch of the Account Number mentioned by you in your ITR must be at the center (PIN CODE) given in your Address ........ if there is mismatch between Pin Code and MICR Code ......... only cheques will come.
Cheques are sent out only for refund above Rs 50K. Next year, I will recieve a cheque I guess.

In my case reason for high tax withholding, is that for NRIs the tax withholding rate is 33% when we sell debt funds. 50k is nothing. If I make 3L profit in a year also 1L will be withheld.

Since these sector/stocks are gathering strength you will have to strategise on your own. Since I am also hoping for a 15-20% correction in 2018, i would treat it as a different buying points - 1 is around these levels, which is purely technical 2. "Hopefully" nifty really corrects as per expectations and along with that these stocks also correct. Else you mght also get caught up be in a scenario where broader markets are down but these stocks might correct only 20% after rallying 40-50% by then. make a good strategy. I would do mostly scattered buying. One thing i adhere to is never chase a price, unless you see enough upside. I don't even want to sound foolish predicting a 20% correction while talking investing. Markets might correct 20% after 12 months after a 7-8% jump and we might look silly even then. form a strategy based on your confidence on investing and technicals.
