Bhai log kya hua ? where are the hype creators who were claiming that d eway will be complete by this year end. We are mid of nov and no construction will be happening till march now.

DEW Welfare Association is working hard behind the scene to make DEW complete.
Don't know which statement is more incredulous - one not knowing anything about what is happening and still dishing out statements of no work vs the other claiming that some association is working to make DEW complete. Both are so way off to what is actually happening. The truth lies somewhere inbetween. The company I am doing some work for at present has bid for certain contracts under NHAI with very strict completion timelines. The transport minister is apparently breathing down their neck to ensure that this gets completed quickly, same as the other flyovers/underpasses on NH8 (some of which have been completed in just about half the time stipulated in the original tenders). The eastern peripheral expressway might get completed by mid Jan and the western peripheral expressway thereafter. Looks like they want to showcase this as having been able to decongest Delhi. The entire expressway has been redesigned and elevated sections will be coming up along with the existing road running at the bottom.
With warm regards,
Who is building our roads, Dwarka e-way residents ask TNN | Nov 12, 2017, 07:15 IST GURUGRAM: Residents of societies along the Dwarka Expressway met MCGcommissioner V Umashankar on Saturday to express concern about the lack of public transport in the region that is home to 70,000 people and has thousands of flats being built in sectors along the speedway. Members of the Dwarka Expressway Association, a group of local residents, discussed many issues related to the sector road development for several residential projects along the expressway and the fact that it is not clear whether developers or government agencies are rresponsible for these roads. "We requested to publish the concerned agency's name and details on the public domain so that homebuyers or RWAs can follow up with the agency. The commissioner accepted the fact that there is some confusion and, in the next 2-3 months, he will call joint meetings with all concerned agencies to publish sector-wise charts allocating responsibility among builders and government authorities," said Pradip Rahi, general secretary of the Dwarka Expressway Association. Among other issues the residents discussed was the handover of land to the National Highways Authority of India from the Haryana border to the Basai foot overbridge, payment of compensation to New Palam Vihar and Kherki Dhaula oustees and repair of the existing Dwarka expressway carriageway. "The MCG commissioner has assured us that connectivity of Dwarka Expressway with NH 8 is their top priority and it will be connected through the Central Peripheral Road," said Sayyad Sameer, another resident of the area and an executive member of the association. Umashankar, when approached for a comment, declined to speak on the issues and said he would get back on the developments along the Dwarka Expressway later. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...w/61611421.cms
2-3 months to just call for joint meetings. And with the multiplicity of builders in a particular area, it will be quite a task to see how they allocate the responsibilities between the different builders in the same area, and how it is enforced. Wonder why one cannot just go to the HUDA or MCG office and see the maps of the areas to identify whose responsibility it is for the roads - MCG/HUDA/Builder. And the MCG Commissioner declined to give an official comment, says it all. Govt officials will not disclose the way they will resolve the issues beforehand, else there will be chaos and litigation from the people likely to be affected. They might just appease the people by giving assurances. Just thinking what would have happened if Modi had announced the DeMo beforehand as a solution to wipe out the black money!! The CPR will take about 2 yrs more to come up. Big interchange at the NH8 junction will be constructed. That too if the land is handed over soon, which HUDA can't as of now as it is not clear yet. The connectivity to NH8 might come up from the Dwarka side first, and not the Manesar side.

I am hearing that it would be compelte in next three months for last 5 years - however the land acquisition is still pending - the cases are not yet disposed off, the oustees have not yet shifted. Don't talk about those expressways eastern and western they benefit naharpar more than gurVillage so even if government works overtime the ground reality is there will be no construction till march and that too government gets all the land which is not going to happen soon. All the hype with d eway projects are now seeing real color the prices are down and if the time correction of five years taken into account they are down by not less than 50% I think we are going to see some bankrupt builders in d eway projects as well
