There are people who would rather run errands in Canada than being in a high flying careers in India. They have their own reasons for that. Everybody's life story is different. Yes agreed.Everybody is different.I know quite a few who have migrated and suffered because of stagnant careers,not being able to adapt to a different weather,missing the social network of relatives and friends back home,food etc.People move conuntris based on the assumption that every thing will be rosey at the other end and they will be a lot happier as a result.In reality you realise the value of many things in life only when it is not there be it parents,relatives,friends or even the silly weather!So I refuse to buy the argument that every one moving overseas has done a throurough due diligence.A friend once confessed that he wished he had not moved to Australia because both his kids are married to whites there.Being a conservative indian who went in search of more money and better education for kids etc was forced to pay a price he was not willing to pay in the end!Again I have no statics to prove that whether disgruntled migrants are a small minority or a majority.

With warm regards,
So I refuse to buy the argument that every one moving overseas has done a throurough due diligence.
People move because they believe that living in developed countries would be better than living in a third world country. And by looking at the number of people deciding to stay put in the US/Canada/Australia/NZ, I suspect that they prefer their adopted country. Now, human life is a miserable existence immaterial where you go. The women are hotter there but are too tall for Indians. Restaurants are great but most food is not enjoyable to an average Indians. Cars are good but rather than becoming an object of luxury, they become as necessary as underwears. Life can become monotonous and chances of having extra marital affairs is less. At the same time, life in India is no fun. One may have a flying career but chances of accidental deaths are higher. Crime rate is higher (mostly unreported). Urban India probably has more number of private security guards per square meter than any metro area in the developed world. Because, urban Indians do not think that it is a safe country. I do not see any square in India that doesn't have two pharmacies. And they sell more antibiotics than chocolate bars. If you meet an accident on the road, the hope of receiving medical help is much lesser than in a developed countries. As this is not a thread about life of an NRI, I should stop here. Only point I was trying to put forth was that everybody's expectations from life is different. Just moving to the developed countries can add a few years to an individual's life. Not everyone would want a few more years and would prefer hepatitis B. --------------------------------------- I prefer living India. Life is much more entertaining here. Politics is more colorful. Newspapers are more colorful. TV programs are more colorful. Restaurants are great. All I need is less tax on whiskey.

[h=1]90,000 करोड़ की डिफॉल्टर IL&FS कंपनी डूबी तो आप भी डूबेंगे...[/h] प्रोविडेंड फंड और पेंशन फंड का पैसा लगा है. यह आम लोगों की मेहनत की कमाई का पैसा है. डूब गया तो सब डूबेंगे. इसमें म्यूचुअल फंड कंपनियां भी निवेश करती हैं. IL&FS ग़ैर बैंकिंग वित्तीय सेक्टर की सबसे बड़ी कंपनी है. इस सेक्टर पर बैंकों का लोन 496,400 करोड़ है. अगर यह सेक्टर डूबा तो बैंकों के इतने पैसे धड़ाम से डूब जाएंगे. मार्च 2017 तक लोन 3,91,000 करोड़ था. जब एक साल में लोन 27 प्रतिशत बढ़ा तो भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ने रोक लगाई. सवाल है कि भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक इतने दिनों से क्या कर रहा था. जबकि भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ही इन वित्तीय कंपनियों की निगरानी करता है. म्य चुअल फंड का 2 लाख 65 हज़ार करोड़ लगा है. हमारे आपके पेंशन और प्रोविडेंड फंड का पैसा भी इसमें लगा है. इतना भारी भरकम कर्ज़दार डूबेगा तो क़र्ज़ देने वाले, निवेश करने वाले सब के सब डूबेंगे.
