Six of the largest employers in the $154 billion Indian information technology (IT) industry saw their workforce shrink in the first half of the current financial year, for the first time since the industry put India on the global software services map."[/B] This in only the big companies, all startups and small scale /sub contract IT service providers are bleeding jobs like never before... Some if this decline is due to Gov which has jacked up service tax from 12% to 18%. Small / medium Companies will not being hiring any more because they cant afford a galaxy of tax experts to save them from the wrath of higher taxes... How big is this.. ? for all the 16 lakh or more new engineering graduates coming into the job market every year... ? They will stay unemployed for the foreseeable future thus increasing unrest in the country... Recession is already here, if you wait till this fact becomes mainstream news it will already be too late... !

With warm regards,

Almost all companies are reporting good profit. I expect it to go up once GST issues are resolved, specially the organised sector. BTW, did anyone noticed the FII figures today. It is -9690.84 . I didnt see this figure recently. DII are saving the fall, but for how long? Meanwhile I am slowly investing in Pharma, stocks which are showing good sign n profilt. Buying direct n via Pharma MF.
