An NGT Bench said, �We direct that while all existing efforts by the authorities in terms of directions of this tribunal may continue, the committee appointed by this tribunal will also act as an oversight body for execution of order.� It was referring to a panel headed by a former High Court judge that was constituted by it earlier. The Bench had said that the committee will also comprise representatives from the Delhi Jal Board, the Central Pollution Control Board, the Central Ground Water Authority and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate concerned. �It will be open to parties to put forward their viewpoint to the committee for consideration. The panel will be at liberty to issue further direction in the matter for execution of order of this tribunal,� the Bench said. The orders came while the NGT was hearing a plea seeking urgent action for effective utilisation of waterbodies to store rainwater that the area receives annually.
