Actually the great depression ended when Roosevelt ended the Gold standard. It never pays to be idealistic. Is the market inflated.. it is. Are there some things on the horizon .. yes.. Will it correct.. Most certainly will.. But it will come back after a few years also. Guys like truth seeker should realize that markets can remain at irrational levels for a longer time than you probably will live.. US economy is booming.. Who would have thought that when Trump won.. There seems to be some perverse human characteristic that likes to make easy things difficult.. So yes there will be a correction or crash.. What do you do.. Doing Nothing is Often the Right Thing to Do Forecasts may tell you a great deal about the forecaster; they tell you nothing about the future. The probability of arriving at a future outcome accurately is the most difficult thing. And if you think past history was all that is needed in the game of money, the richest people would be librarians. So only time will tell if Truth seeker will be a messiah or he will do the what people do in this forum.. take a new avatar.. I think this is his second innings under a differed name if I am not mistaken..
Yes, indeed, crashes like 2008 happen once is a few decades, after the great depression, the 2008 crash was the biggest. There is no cycle like thing that it happens every 10 years. The 2008 crash too was a quick dip and markets were back within a year. I dont think we will have another crash like that for another 20-30 years. 10% correction is a big thing already. 20% correction means you should sell your house everything and buy equities. Truthseeker, is going to rue his decision of staying in gold. We will come back after 10 years and see where are stock markets and where is gold.
