[h=1]HC stops project in Patwari village[/h] Rajesh Pandey| TNN | Feb 13, 2018, 06:49 IST File photo of Allahabad high court ALLAHABAD: The Allahabad high court on Monday restrained builders Supertech Ltd from raising any construction in its project at Patwari village of Greater Noida. The court further restrained the builders not to create third party interest by transferring flats in the project. The court also restrained the respondent authority from issuing completion certificate of the building in favour of the builders. Hearing a public interest litigation filed by Tikam Singh of Patwari village, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale and Justice Suneet Kumar directed the builders to file a reply within two weeks and fixed March 12 as the next date of hearing. It was alleged in the PIL that the realtor is constructing flats on a public utility land marked as samshan land. Supertech denied this. The land marked for a crematorium is adjacent to Eco-Village I. We have not acquired it and it is not in our project plan. The court has ordered there should not be any construction on that land. Since it is not in our plan, there wont be any construction on that patch anyway, said Supertech chairman RK Arora. [h=1]37 Noida realtors to face audit in stage 2[/h] Vandana Keelor| tnn | Feb 13, 2018, 06:51 IST NOIDA: The Noida Authority on Monday met 37 developers whose projects will face scrutiny in the next round of audit as the UP government looks at reasons behind the housing delay and looks for ways to create an oversight mechanism. The meeting comes a day after Noida issued notices to builders of 11 projects for allegedly diverting funds to the tune of Rs 4,000 crore meant for completion of housing projects in the city. Projects of the 37 developers called to the meeting are slated to be assessed in the next phase of the ongoing audit and will involving around 37,000 residential units. The developers have been asked to assist in the audit being carried out by Currie & Brown, an international consultant. This audit is expected to be completed in the next three weeks, officials said. Noida will conduct audits of 51 projects involving more than 70,000 housing units, officials said. The meeting was convened by Noida chairman and CEO Alok Tandon and was also attended by additional CEO A K Srivastava and officer on special duty (group housing) Santosh Kumar. We have directed the builders to provide all assistance to the firm auditing their accounts without delay, said Tandon. Builders have been asked to provide necessary details for the audit besides furnishing information about housing projects, he added. [h=2]Tandon said the audit firm has to finish its job soon so that we can take the matter forward and do justice to the demands raised by the homebuyers. We have to determine the physical and financial status of each project. Financial statements of all projects whose construction is incomplete, in the last five years between 2010-11 and 2016-17, will have to be made available by the developers of the projects for perusal. The aim is to safeguard the interest of homebuyers and help them get possession of their homes at the earliest.[/h] Last year, homebuyers had sought audit of builders accounts to find out if they diverted money meant for construction of their houses to other businesses. On September 12, chief minister Yogi Aditya Nath had directed the CEOs of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities to get an audit done. The residents of Prateek Wisteria and Civitech Sampriti in Sector 77 and Amrapali Princely Estate in Sector 76 had written to the UPPCB, city magistrate and the district magistrate, alleging that the length of the exhaust pipes of the DG sets was so short that smoke often reached the first two floors of the apartments. According to the complaints, the length of the pipes was as short as 1.5 metres in some cases, as against the prescribed length of 5 metres. We had complained to the UPPCB, city magistrate and the district magistrate through an email on December 31, informing them that smoke from the DG set chimneys spreads across our society and reaches the first two floors. We cannot the doors and windows. We had complained to our society manager but there was no response, said Amit Gupta, a resident of Prateek Wisteria. Gupta added that the residents of the neighbouring Civitech Sampriti and Amrapali Princely Estate had made similar complaints. PP Singh, a junior engineer in the district pollution control board who had visited the housing societies following the complaints, said he found the DG set exhaust pipes violating the standards. I had visited Prateek Wisteria in Sector 77 on January 6 and found there were four DG sets of 625Kva capacity. None of them followed the prescribed norm of a 5 metre-long exhaust pipes. We have issued notices for corrective measures. Else, action will be taken under Section 31A of Air Pollution Prevention and Control Act, 1981, said Singh. SK Mittal, who heads the maintenance office at Prateek Wisteria, said: Our DG set chimneys are within the prescribed norms. We have sent a reply to the UPPCB notice. The management of the other two societies could not be reached for comment. [h=1]6 years on, Noida to start building elevated road to Kalindi Kunj[/h] Vandana Keelor| TNN | Feb 13, 2018, 07:02 IST Noida: Issues delaying the construction of three major road projects connecting Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad are likely to be resolved by March this year, senior officials of the NCR planning board have said after a meeting with the Noida Authority. The projects include the Rs 525-crore Noida elevated road, which has been in a limbo for six years. Proposed in 2012, the 5.54km elevated road corridor is supposed to skirt some of Noidas busiest routes and stretch from the Chilla regulator to Kalindi Kunj on the Noida border. The project is awaiting a clearance from the Delhi irrigation department. Officials said there was a proposal to link the elevated road with the Barapullah road in Delhi to provide a seamless ride from AIIMS and Sarai Kale Khan in south Delhi to Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Greater Noida. It would also provide an option for a ring road and a bypass around Noida. The other two projects that are likely to see the light of the day are the FNG expressway and a bypass road to Faridabad from the under-construction parallel bridge on the Yamuna. For the elevated corridor on the Shahdara drain, the land passes through Noida but the ownership is with Delhi. For the bypass to Faridabad via Badarpur from Maharani Bagh, the land is in Delhi but is owned by the UP irrigation department. Both projects are extremely important for not only decongesting Noida, but also reducing the travel time to Delhi, Faridabad and Ghaziabad, said an official of the NCR planning board. Since clearances, NOCs and approvals have to come from two states, I have requested the chief secretaries of UP and Delhi to hold a meeting and resolve the issues and put the projects on track by March this year, the official added. [h=2]The six-lane parallel bridge across the Yamuna near Kalindi Kunj, which is awaiting a 14km access to Badarpur after a go-ahead from the UP irrigation department, is expected to provide relief to commuters in Delhi, Noida and Faridabad.[/h] Officials said the FNG expressway was also discussed during the meeting on Monday.
