A short term trade opportunity. Nifty likely to touch 9838 on spot today.
Ashish, Are you targeting the Gap Filling ......? but it would fill slightly below 9838 .....( 9822.55)
Adding onto this : the pcr { put call ratio } has significantly increased from 1.25 { day when SEBI made its announcement } to 1.54 .. This puzzled me a bit, but the only explanation i could figure here was : Registered FII { SEBI rule doesn't apply to registered fii } have significantly increased their short positions. This is the closest you can get indicating a blood bath is coming post the short covering..
Higher PCR typically means that market players/ punters are more bullish than bearish.. A PCR above 1.5 is really risky as quick unwinding will push market down rather quickly..

Long term investors - So, In every bull market there are some stocks which would disappoint you because that is supposed to be your core portfolio stock ( 10 years , blah blah ) . And for some reason every stock will fly other than your this favorite one. To give an example - Tata Gobal Beverages and L&T is one which has not moved at all in 2014-2017. You can also add previously hyped stocks like asian paints, jubilant foodworks, nestle, page etc. What are you holding which has disappointed you unlike some loved ones in your portfolio ?
similarly amazing is the current euphoria of if there is no tomorrow, People trying to put more money in the markets after 1.5% fall. People going all out in high PE stocks like page and any hfc under the sun. This is definitely a mini euphoria. I am not calling end to this bull run yet, but investors are looking so confident about the low volatility or any shocks to the economy. Economy will be good, markets will chug along with small and big hiccups, but the people's way of treating this market suddenly as a magical solution of sorts is confounding me. what is markets, if it does not test the patience of investors ??? The time after budget should be very interesting. while everyone is super bullish on US, i won't be surprised if there is a QE4 in next few years again.
Wrote this on Feb 2, 2015 - When markets were at 8900 - over 1 year it came down by 2000 points. Just a reminder to everyone, even if you feel left out, you will get a chance to enter markets. Patience is a big virtue in markets. Looking back i realize that when the time came to put in big money i got affected managing my short-term and swing trades than putting in serious amount. Learn to be patient and equally important is if you have been waiting to enter the markets when the times come, you grab it. Hopefully we will get another chance to enter into markets this year or next year.
Ashish as the markets moves on .... obviously valuation concern and high index PE is genuine concern but for any meaningful correction ...... what is missing is a blow-up top .... although index makes a new All Time Highs every few days ..... it does so just by crawling up a 50-100 points then a small and shallow dip and some time correction ...... then some chorus of correction .... correction ......but then again up 50-100 points ,,,

So operators offloaded these newly wedded stocks like AUM finance and CDSL to gullible junta. Doubt if top price will come back again
